Overview
This project is an AI-generated Formula One commercial created using Runway, blending real race footage with AI-generated visuals to capture the speed and precision of F1. Inspired by European car commercials, I focused on clean compositions and dynamic camera movements to mirror the energy and sleek branding often seen in high-end automotive ads.
I used Premiere Pro to color grade the final edit, ensuring a cinematic and polished look. The project explores how AI tools can accelerate commercial production while maintaining storytelling and visual impact for digital campaigns, testing how AI-generated assets can blend seamlessly with live footage for sports marketing content.

Notes
I noted down how I approached using Runway’s new Character Reference tool, what worked well, and areas I think could improve the workflow. Let me know if you’d like me to share those insights:
Strengths:
-
Smoother multi-angle consistency, keeping character identity intact when generating different perspectives.
-
Better pose control, allowing clearer direction of body positioning while maintaining reference adherence.
-
Enhanced background matching, so environments remain consistent with character scale and lighting.
-
Faster iteration cycles, reducing wait times for testing prompt tweaks with the same reference.
Weaknesses:
-
Lighting consistency can break, causing characters to appear out of place in scene changes.
-
Limited object tracking, making it hard to keep props or accessories consistent across shots.
-
Occasional unexpected style shifts, even with a clear reference image.
-
Environment details may simplify, losing complex textures or architectural elements during generation.
